Cell-Provide® is recommended for all types of horses and ponies at rest or lightly worked.   Cell-Provide® is also suitable for aged or senior horses, especially retired or elderly horses. These horses normally have a pasture-based diet or are supplied with grass hay or a biscuit of lucerne each day.  They may have a feed of chaff, pony pellets or a dipper of hard feed. Cell-Provide® gives an easy scoopful of potent micronutrients to balance their diet by providing essential bone minerals, trace-minerals and vitamins which are not supplied by grass, hay or simple hard feeds. Cell-Provide® is an ideal balancing supplement for good-doer horses and ponies on limited diets or restricted grazing due to weight concerns. Cell-Provide® does not supply energy, sugar or protein which may need to be restricted in sensitive horses. For these horses, we recommend combining Cell-Provide® with Kohnke’s Own® TRIM®, which has certain nutrients to help with the metabolism of horses and ponies with weight problems.  This combination is perfect for softening and reducing the cresty neck and excessive or abnormal fatty deposits in good-doer horses and ponies. Cell-Provide® is also recommended as a balancing supplement for horses which consume water-soaked hay.  Soaking hay to remove sugars also removes some of the natural micronutrient content of the hay, thus it is recommended to provide Cell-Provide® to horses on soaked hay diets to ensure nutrients lost by the soaking process are replaced.

Cell-Provide® is a ‘lighter’ style supplement with lower levels of iron and other antioxidant nutrients (which are needed in higher amounts as training levels and sweat amount increases) as it is designed for horses which are at rest or only lightly handled or ridden.  These horses still require a balanced diet of essential micronutrients which are not supplied by grass or hay alone. Cell-Provide® meets their needs without excesses that would be provided by supplements designed for horses in regular work or competition.
